St Mary the Virgin - Woodford

The fourth and tenor are dated 1616.  The sixth was cast by Thomas Norris of Stamford in 1662.  The seventh was cast by Taylor's of Oxford in 1839 with the third and fifth by John Taylor's of Loughborough in 1913.

During re-hanging in 1913, new cast iron frames were installed. The old wooden frames having been in position since 1886, were dismantled and used to make a table which for many years stood inside the church. During the September 2000 augmentation two new trebles were installed in vacant pits completing a job started some 87 years before.
